Top Stories of 2017-2018: No. 3 - Renee Bokma named Female Athlete of the Year

Renee Bokma had a career season this past fall, which led the Dukes to their best season in five years. Bokma, led the team in nearly all offensive categories including goals (15) and points (32) en route to receiving 2nd Team All-Region honors.

During the season, Bokma provided many moments that were highlight-reel worthy, but none more than her two hat tricks. In a matchup against Camden County, she poured in 5 goals to lead Cumberland to a 6-0 victory. In the final match of the season, Bokma delivered her second and final hat trick of her Dukes career leading the squad to a 7-1 victory over Bergen County.

Lastly, and most importantly, Renee performed her best in the classroom. The Health Sciences major reeled in an impressive 3.7 GPA during her time at Cumberland.

Renee will be moving on to continue her academic and athletic career to Rutgers University-Camden while enrolling in their rigorous Nursing program.
