Dukes Baseball Produces Five First-Team All-Region XIX Selections

The accolades continue for this year's baseball team.  Five Dukes were named to the First-Team when the All-Region XIX ballot was released and seven players total earned All-Region XIX honors.

Anthony Lopez was the headliner, being named the Region XIX Player of the Year. Obviously that honor earned him a spot on the First-team.  Joining Lopez on the first-team was outfielders Jordan Glover and Tim Gallagher, Catcher Jose Martinez, and Pitcher Cody Stashak.

Josh O'Neill was named a pitcher on the Second-Team and Second Baseman Tyler Mixon was named to the Third-Team. O'Neill recorded a 9-3 record on the year with an ERA of 1.66.  Mixon hit .408 this season with 38 runs and 37 RBIs. Mixion was just recently named the Region XIX Tournament MVP for his performance during the Dukes Region XIX Championship run.
