Baseball Sweeps Middlesex

The Cumberland County College Baseball Team won both games in a doubleheader over Middlesex County College Sunday afternoon by scores of 8-7 and 2-0.  In Game 1, the Dukes surrendered a 5-0 lead, and needed a three-run seventh inning to walk-off with the win on a bases load walk from John Banes that scored freshman outfielders Miles Francis. Tovine Potts and Ivan Solis went a combined 4 for 8, with two runs scored and four RBIs.

In Game 2, Justin Smith put on a display on the hill for the Dukes.  The sophomore right-hander went the distance, sprinkle five hits over seven innings and striking out nine Colt batters.  Banes and fellow sophomore Anthony Harrold recorded two hits apiece.
