Sophomore Jarrett Quinn announced as GSAC Pitcher of the Week

The Garden State Athletic Conference announced the weekly players of the week honors in Division III for the top performances by a pitcher during the week ending on March 11th.  Sophomore standout Jarrett Quinn from Cumberland County College earned the weekly honor for the top hurler.

On the hill for #1 ranked Dukes of Cumberland County College, Jarrett Quinn dazzled in two outings on the week down in Myrtle Beach, SC.  The sophomore product out of King of Prussia, PA showed his versatility by coming out of the pen to collect the win over defending NJCAA Division II National Champion Kankakee Community College in a wild 17-12 affair.  Quinn followed up that performance with a dominant complete-game, three-hit shutout of NJCAA Division I opponent Black Hawk College-Moline by a narrow 1-0 score.  During that outing, the reigning NJCAA Region XIX Pitcher of the Year struck out 9 Braves' hitters.  Quinn finished the week 2-0, allowing just five hits and striking out 13 over ten innings of work.
