Men's Basketball Hires New Coach

The Cumberland County College Men's Basketball program will have a new face on the bench this season.  Greg Goodwin was hired as the new coach this week and will took to turn around a program that finished 2-25 just a season ago.  Goodwin brings a basketball heavy background to Cumberland, and a successful one at that.

Goodwin began his coaching career with the boys team at the now-defunct St. James School in Carneys Point. His greatest achievements came at Absegami High School.  In 2008, Goodwin stepped down after the 2008 season with an overall record of 277-54 over 12 seasons.  In his twelve seasons, he coached Absegami to five South Jersey Championships, five Cape-Atlantic Leage titles, and two state titles.  Goodwin hopes to bring that type of success to Cumberland.
