The Dukes held off a late run from the visiting Colts of Middlesex County College to secure an 88-85 victory Saturday evening. Cumberland freshman Haashim Wallace led all scores with 28 total points, including a barage of highlight reel dunks throughout the game. Wallace also pulled down 13 rebounds and dished out four assists. Sophomore Kyle Philo poured in 23 points on 9 of 14 shooting from the field, and freshman Marquiis Wilson recorded 12 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists.
With the victory, the Dukes improve to 6-5 overall and 5-2 in Region 19 play. Cumberland has won five of its last six games and will look to stay hot when they travel to Camden Camden County on Thursday December 15th.
