Cornman Named NJCAA Division III Player of the Week

For the second straight week, a Dukes Softball Player took home the honors of the NJCAA Division III Player of the Week.  This week it was Catcher and Outfielder Danielle Cornman, who also was named the Player of the Week in the Garden State Athletic Conference for her performance during the week of March 9th - 15th.

During that span, Cornman shined in a 6-1 week for the Dukes Softball Program.  Cornman batted an impressive 11 for 17 (.647), driving in 14 runs, and scoring 9 times on the week.  Earning six walks during that stretch, she posted an On-Base-Percentage of .739.  In a doubleheader sweep of Anne Arundel, Cornman went 5 for 6 at the plate while driving in seven Dukes base-runners.

She joins teammate Lauren Tobolski who was named the Division III player of the week just one week ago.  View the other players of the week by clicking here.
