The latest NJCAA Division III Baseball Poll is out and Cumberland County College remains on top as the nation's #1 ranked team. The Dukes put together a 3-1 week, including taking two out of three from the #2 ranked team in the country, Rowan College at Gloucester County.
After falling 9-8 to RCGC in a wild back-and-forth game, the Dukes responded by winning both games Saturday on RCGC's home field. Cumberland scored a total of eight runs in the seventh inning between the two games, scoring four that frame of each game to claim victory 4-2 and 6-3.
Since the March 5th loss to the County College of Morris by a 5-1 score, the Dukes have won 37 of their last 38 games, including a 33 game win streak that stretched across 8 weeks without a loss for the nation's top team. Sitting at 45-4, Cumberland is now in its third week at #1, earning their second consecutive unanimous decision in the weekly poll.
