Streaking Dukes Down Brookdale

Streaking Dukes Down Brookdale

Back on December 15th, Cumberland suffered a heartbreaking loss at the buzzer to Passaic County Community College resulting in thier first loss of the season. The Dukes have clearly used that game as motivation because the Dukes have not dropped a game since.  Cumberland pushed their current streak to seven games with a 70-58 win behind four Dukes in double-figures.  Freshman Kyra Lunsford led the way with a game-high 23 points on five-three pointers.  Sophomores Alicia Cox and Tess Elder each chipped in for 14 points and Mackenzie Wimberg added 11 of her own.

Thursday's win at Brookdale could prove to be huge as the Dukes are now in the driver's seat at 12-1 in the Garden State Athletic Conference.  Brookdale is second at 11-4 and Passaic third at 9-4.  With an overall record of 19-1, Cumberland will now head to Sussex Community College on Saturday in hopes of capturing win number 20 on the season.
