Passaic Has Cumberland's Number

On a night where the color pink permeated the Cunningham Gymnasium in support of the fight against breast cancer, and on a night that Cumberland hosted its largerst crowd of the season, the Passaic Panthers stole the show.  With two wins Thursday night, the Passaic men and women combined for a 4-0 sweep of the Dukes this season.  Despite 31 hard-earned points from sophomore Alicia Cox, Cumberland fell short for the second consecutive game and dropped to 20-3 on the season and now find themselves behind Passaic in the Garden State Athletic Conference due to the head to head tiebreaker.  In the men's game, sophomores Tyler Hillgrube (Cumberland) and David Bellamy (Passaic) went blow for blow, each scoring 22 points for their respective teams.  Bellamy and company were too much down stretch, ending the game on a 17-5 run.  Both Cumberland teams are off Saturday due to snow storm that hit the north part of the state.  The game against Middlesex will be postponed to another date and the Dukes will resume action Tuesday at 5pm and 7pm when the Roadrunners from Gloucester come to Cumberland.
