A local basketball camp in Egg Harbor Township got a special surprise last week when Cumberland Women's Basketball head coach James Boney and sophomore guard Sahara Lopez came to speak to the campers. The camp included 60 female basketball players from the age of 8 to 14 who have the desire to continue playing basketball at the collegiate level. The visit from Coach Boney and Lopez included a Question & Answer session where the campers asked anything they had on their mind when it came to basketball. The key points that Sahara and Coach Boney wanted to emphasize was defensive drills and principles. At the conclusion of the visit, all of the campers were presented with Cumberland County College ear buds.
