Department Hires Victor Malagisi as Head Coach of Women's Soccer Program

The Cumberland County College Athletic Department is excited to announce the hiring of Victor Malagisi as the next Head Coach of the Women's Soccer Program.

"I would like to express that it is a distinct pleasure for me to be named the next Head Women's Soccer Coach at Cumberland County College," stated Malagisi.  It is exciting to be a part of such a progressive athletic program and to work with an athletic department staff that has the best interests of our student-athletes and the college in mind."

Coach Malagisi comes to Cumberland having coached Women's and Men's soccer at all levels in the game from recreational to professional soccer.  Most recently, Coach Malagisi was the General Manager and assistant coach with the Philadelphia Fury and Atlantic City Crusaders Men's Professional Soccer teams, both members of the American Soccer League.

Currently, Coach Malagisi is the owner and founder of the Lenape Elite Soccer Academy and currently serves as an associate trainer with the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) here in New Jersey.  With the NSCAA, Malagisi is an Instructor for youth licensing courses.

Malagisi will take over a program that has missed the Region 19 playoffs the last four seasons and is coming off one of the worst seasons in program history.  Athletic Director Keith Gorman believes that Coach Malagisi will have an impact of the women's program right away.

Gorman went on to say, "We are very excited to have Coach Malagisi as our Head Women's Soccer coach.  Victor comes with many years of experience at every level.  His ability to develop our women's soccer players should be evident right away.  Victor's high energy will positively impact the recruiting process which will be paramount to the success of the program."
