Dukes sign 10 newcomers; Strong future lays ahead for Men's Basketball

After being hired as the new Cumberland Dukes Men's Basketball Coach in late July, many were skeptical on how Darrin Stalling would reload a roster with just one returnee from the program's most successful season in history.  Following the success Stalling had during the 2018-2019 season, which included him leading the Dukes back to the Region XIX Final Four, the skeptics now turned to optimists.  On Wednesday evening, Stalling showed what we could do with a full season to layout his recruiting plan.

Cumberland Basketball welcomed ten new members to the Dukes roster. Size, skill, and speed were covered in Stalling's vision and if you spoke to him, you could feel the optimism emanating from his voice. "I am very excited with the recruits that we have playing for us next season," Stalling said. "They come from various high schools all over the area and we feel that each and every one of them can make an immediate impact." The Dukes finished the season with a 19-10 record with a berth in the Region XIX Final Four for the second consecutive season, a first in program history.  Stalling and the Dukes look to improve upon the previous two seasons and qualify for the National Tournament.
