In a game that was tightly contested from the opening tip-off, it was the Bucks County Community College men's basketball team that came out victorious on Saturday. The Dukes led early on in the game as Jonathan Thomas was close to sixty percent (5 for 9) from behind the arc and carried Cumberland into the half only trailing by four points. Charles Sapp would record a double-double in the game as he recorded 14 rebounds along with 14 points, but this was not enough to hold off the Centurions as they went on to win the game in overtime by a score of 76-74. Thomas would finish the game as the leading scorer with 25 points. Phil Cisrow would collect 15 points in the effort, while Alfonso Smith added 14 points and 10 rebounds of his own.
The Dukes men's basketball team will play again on Tuesday November 19th, when they host the Atlantic Cape Community College Buccaneers at 7PM.
