Dukes come away with road victory

The Dukes made the trip to Toms River, NJ to take on the Ocean County College Vikings, in a game that started off slow for Cumberland; Coach Stalling and the team found a way to overcome a talented Vikings squad. Cumberland trailed almost the entire first half, but a late run of baskets by the Dukes put them behind by only 2 points going into the half.

The 2nd half was dominated by Cumberland as they outscored the Vikings by 11 points and went on to capture the victory with a final score of 96-87. Phil Cisrow continues to shine early in the 2019 season as he finishes as the leading scorer with 26 points. Alfonso Smith led the game with rebounds as he recorded 11 to go along with 21 points of his own.
