The two campuses of Rowan College of South Jersey battled it out on the hardwood Tuesday night in Gloucester, NJ as the two teams met for the first time this season. The first half between the two squads started off with many possessions trading points, but Cumberland began to push the ball inside to Charles Sapp who would dominate the paint for the Dukes finishing with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Cumberland held the lead 44-35 going into halftime and never looked back. Phil Cisrow would finish with a game high 24 points. Max Cruz shot 57% from behind the arc as he finished with 19 points, 5 assists, and a steal. A late push by RCSJ-Gloucester would not be enough as the Dukes claim victory with a final score of 78-67. Cumberland is now 6-1 to start the 2019 season.
Cumberland returns to action on Tuesday December, 3rd when they travel to Carneys Point to take on the Salem Community College Oaks at 7PM.
