The Dukes entered halftime with a 36-26 lead. Cumberland then opened up the second half with a 15-4 run behind Artaeja Loatman and Kyra Lunsford, who accounted for eleven of the fifteen between them. The visiting Spirit could not recover from that blow, as Cumberland cruised the rest of the way to an 80-63 victory. Loatman finished with 25 points and 16 rebounds to record her second double-double in as many games. The sophomore captain, Lunsford, erupted in the second half to score all 18 of her points after being held scoreless in the first. Freshman Jasmine Miro added 13 points off of the bench and sophomore Maryah Coleman added 8 points and 15 rebounds. The Dukes move to a 3-0 start and will have a week and a half off before opening Region XIX play at Bergen Community College on November 16th.
