Women's Basketball Rolls Past Camden

The Women's Basketball program rolled past Camden CC by a score of 92-28 Thursday night.  The Dukes 51 first-half points and a game total of 92, marked season highs.

Julia Dixon led the way for Cumberland, falling one assist shy of a triple-double.  Dixon poured in 31 points, pulled down 10 rebounds, and dished out 9 assists on the evening.  Her 31 point performance came on 14 of 19 (74%) shooting from the field, including 3 for 3 from downtown. 

Freshman Lynn Brown also recorded a double-double, scoring 23 points (10 of 11) and grabbing a game-high 12 rebounds.  Freshman Shai Peterson added 17 points and 9 rebounds, and returning sophomore Sahara Lopez chipped in with 12 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists.

As a team, Cumberland shot a season high, 57% from floor on 41 of 72 shooting, 7 of 15 from beyond the arc.  The team also recorded a season high 50 total rebounds and 23 assists. 

With the win, the Dukes improve to 7-3 overall and 6-2 in Region 19 play.  Cumberland will look to win their fourth consecutive game when they travel to Sussex County Community College on Saturday December 11.  The game will tip at 1PM.
