The Dukes Women's Soccer Team will be the first to tell you that their 2019 presented opportunities that they would love to have a second chance at. However, head coach Rob Polk, had to have his team focus on finishing the season on a high note and create momentum towards the 2020 season. A couple days after honoring second year player, Mikayla Mathias, the Dukes headed up to Paramus, NJ to take on the Bergen Bulldogs in the final regular season match of 2019. Based on their performance, Coach Polk motivated his team well enough to execute his plan of ending 2019 strong.
The Dukes came out on all cylinders led by the team's leading scorer, Kendra Stipes. Stipes continued her high-octane offensive season by pouring in 5 goals and adding one assist to cap off her record-setting 2019 season. Lone second year player, Mikayla Mathias, ended her Dukes career with a bang by scoring twice while adding two assists of her own. Alexandira Patitucci added a goal while Desiree Esquillin scored her first career goal as well. Rebecca Cox tallied an assist followed by Hailey Mehaffey who added two assists of her own.
It was a complete effort for the Dukes, who hope to bring this level of play in 2020.
