Bio
Kaila Boyer, ATC was named the Athletic Trainer at RCSJ- Cumberland on January 4, 2023. Kaila is an experienced athletic trainer with over a decade of dedication to athlete care, sports medicine, and leadership in athletic training services. A 2010 graduate of Rowan University with a Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training, Kaila began her career with AtlantiCare in 2011, working with Holy Spirit High School in Absecon, NJ. The following year, she became the athletic trainer for St. Joseph High School in Hammonton, NJ, where she supported multiple programs and celebrated five Non-Public South B state football championships during her tenure.
In 2013, Kaila transitioned to Rothman Orthopaedics when they acquired the athletic training department, expanding her role to include work with high school athletics, Olympic wrestlers, Cabrini University women’s basketball and lacrosse, and numerous youth sports organizations. By 2016, she had joined Rothman’s Concussion Program as a Clinical Assistant, collaborating with concussion specialists to support athlete recovery and care. Her expertise and leadership led to a promotion in 2018 as Supervisor of Athletic Training Services for New Jersey, where she served as liaison between local schools, athletic trainers, and Rothman physicians while overseeing athletic training contracts across the region.
In 2023, Kaila returned to the college setting as the athletic trainer for Rowan College of South Jersey–Cumberland Campus, where she continues to bring her passion for athlete health and safety to the next generation of student-athletes.
Outside of her professional life, Kaila enjoys working on cars, having driven the legendary Tail of the Dragon in Tennessee, and cherishes time spent with her husband, sisters, nephews, niece, and her beloved pets—three dogs and two cats.
