Mens Golf earns first win, Womens continues top performances
GALLOPING HILLS - The RCSJ-Cumberland Golf Team had a banner day on Monday at Galloping Hills. Union College of NJ hosted their annual match at Galloping Hills and the Dukes performed well.
On the Women's side, Brigid Humphreys battled for the top spot of the leaderboard once again as she finished 3rd with a score of 111. She has finished in the top 3 of each match played so far, while turning in the low score at the season opening match at Seaview GC on March 31. Lila Camp has steadily grown with each match so far as she scored the highlight of the match, scoring an eagle on the par 4 17th hole.
For the Men's team, Chase Adomaitis led all golfers with a low score of 74. That score along with Chris Barone's 80, Anthony Bova's 88, and PJ Stanger's 89 - the Dukes nabbed their first victory of the season. As available records show, this is their first victory since the program returned to action in 2021 and the first victory in nearly 4 decades.
