Dukes 4x100 qualifies for Nationals at Stockton Invite
GALLOWAY - On the opening meet of the season for RCSJ-Cumberland Dukes Track & Field, the 4 x 100 relay team got the Dukes off to a strong start by qualifying for Nationals in their debut meet. The relay team of Quajon Kinsey, Ira Goldsborough, Carlos Melendez, and Marvin Homar turned in a national qualifying time of 48.76 to earn themselves a place in Utica, NY for the NJCAA National Meet.
Summer Nasatka competed in the Discus, Javelin, and Shot Put events and performed well. Rodrigo Gonzalez and Allison Gove also participated in the throws events and are expected to creep closer to national qualifying standards.
Vincent Bosco and Matthew Tozer ran in the distance events as they look to ramp themselves into national contenders as the year goes on.
Dukes Track & Field will return to Galloway for the Osprey Open on Friday, March 28 and Saturday, March 29.
