Joey Sauers named Head Men's Basketball Coach

VINELAND - The 2026-27 Dukes Men's Basketball season will be the start of a new era for the program.  Joey Sauers has been announced as the next Head Men's Basketball Coach for RCSJ-Cumberland.  "This is a tremendous honor and I am very excited to start this new journey," Sauers said.  He takes over the helm after joining the Dukes staff for the 2021-22 season as a volunteer assistant coach.  He was subequently elevated to the lead assistant coach position the following season and a role he would serve until being named head coach.

Director of Athletics Jonathan Dijamco shared his thoughts on Coach Sauers: "We are proud to have Joey move into this role after his time serving as an assistant coach for many seasons.  The response that we have received from alumni, community members, area high school coaches, and even some opposing coaches and administrators has been overwhelming.  Our staff is looking forward to working alongside Joey as we enter this new chapter of Dukes Basketball."
