Women's XC's Perez off to strong start

VINELAND - It's been a great start for Dukes Women's Cross Country as the group started off strong at the WCU Season Opener at West Chester University.  The team was led by freshman Marcela Perez.  Perez ran just under 28 minutes in her opening meet which put her in a strong final position amongst NCAA D2 and D3 competition.  Per Athletic.net, Perez is among the top 45 participants in all of NJCAA Division 3, which bodes well for her prospects at the NJCAA National Meet.

Keep an eye on Perez and her teammates to continue building on this strong foundation.  Their next meet is Saturday, September 20 at the Osprey Open hosted by Stockton University.
