Womens Cross Country place 2nd at Region XIX Championships

LANCASTER - It was a historic day for Dukes Womens Cross Country as they nabbed the highest finish at a Regional Championship in program history.  The team of Marcela Perez, Maricruz Cardoso, Lyanne Rivera, Stephanie Gomez, and Monica Bishop charged forward with Perez, Bishop, and Cardoso all finishing in the top 15 to land the crucial points for the Dukes.  Those points proved important as Cumberland slipped by Union by one point to earn 2nd place.

The finish is Cumberland's top finish for the Women's program and the highest since the Men's team won the Region title in 2008.

Cumberland next competes at the NJCAA National Meet in Fort Dodge, IA on Saturday, November 8
