Softball on 3 game winning streak

VINELAND - RCSJ-Cumberland Dukes Softball find themselves back in familiar territory after a one season hiatus from game action.  The Dukes are winners of three straight and find themselves entrenched in the Region XIX Playoff race.

Mimi Acevedo and Cayla Sbrana have shared the workload from the pitching circle.  Acevedo and Sbrana combined to sweep the Bergen Bulldogs with Acevedo striking out 5 in the Game 1 victory prior to Sbrana holding them in check with 4 strikeouts in a masterful Game 2 victory on March 31st.

Offensively, Kylie Gonzalez and Kylie Tomlin have been dynamite.  Gonzalez has gone 5 for 8 during the winning streak with 3 RBIs and 4 Runs scored.  Tomlin went 5 for 6 with 3 RBIs during the sweep against Bergen.

Dukes return to action on Saturday April 11 as they visit Middlesex College.
