VINELAND - Despite having a stretch of bad luck, the Dukes have been able to shine through the difficult period.  Two Dukes in particular have shined the brightest, Kylie Gonzalez and Kylie Tomlin.

Gonzalez has started every game for the Dukes at shortstop while batting leadoff.  The freshman from Vineland is batting .404 and leads the team in stolen bases (22) and runs scored (19).  One of the top shortstops in Region XIX, Gonzalez sports an .880 fielding percentage in nearly 100 chances.

Tomlin has been the offensive leader for the Dukes as she is batting a scintillating .481 average with a 1.060 OPS and leads the team with 26 hits.

The Dukes look to hit their stride in the final two weeks of the season starting today as they travel to Toms River to take on the Ocean Vikings.
