DiSipio shines in collegiate debut
SEWELL - The RCSJ-Cumberland Dukes Women's Soccer team opened their season on Saturday, September 6 against neighboring rival, RCSJ-Gloucester. Despite the loss, it seems as the Dukes have another star in the making with goalkeeper Julianna DiSipio.
DiSipio made 27 saves in her collegiate debut as she made save after save with a depleted Dukes lineup due to injury. DiSipio's efforts were aided by the back line of Marissa Gras, Lexi Sandoval, Karlee Poley, and Brynn Roberterson. The freshman from Franklinville was a starter at Delsea Regional has brought a steady presence to the back line for the Dukes after the departure of All-Region goalkeeper, Charisma Wilke. DiSipio and the Dukes are experiencing a gap in their schedule and are scheduled to return to action on September 23 as they host Mercer County CC.
