VINELAND - The RCSJ-Cumberland Dukes Mens Soccer team just seem to have that next gear when playing at home. Once again the Dukes took on a perennial Region XIX contender and maintained the front foot for the much of the match, this time against the Brookdale Jersey Blues. Despite giving up an early goal in the 1st half, the Dukes maintained steady pressure throughout the match. For every attack by Brookdale, the Dukes countered quickly and controlled possession for much of the match.
After trailing 1-0 at the half, the Dukes finally broke through on an incredible goal by Donato Diaz. Diaz once again found the score sheet on a terrific play as he made two brilliant moves along the right wing before sniping a shot on the short side to make the score 2-1. Batuhan Onal scored the insurance goal late in the 2nd half as he drilled a shot just outside of the 18 yard box to bring the score to 3-1.
Shane Graham was brilliant once again in net for the Dukes as he continues to be a leader for the Dukes defense as well as the back end of the Dukes attack.
