VINELAND - For the first time since 2019, the RCSJ-Cumberland Dukes Mens Soccer team qualified for the Region XIX Postseason Tournament. With a convincing 7-1 victory over the Northampton Spartans, the Dukes made sure to end the season on a high note with their fourth consecutive victory and their 7th win in the last 9 games. On the same day the Dukes celebrated their Sophomores, Donato Diaz, Batuhan Onal, and Brayden Birnstiel each found the scoresheet with Birnstiel coming inches away multiple times for his first career hat trick. Austin Donato, Jesiah Cruz, and Jack Schuler also found the back of the net with Schuler scoring the first goal of his career.
Shane Graham was perfect in net as he was pulled at halftime with the score 5-0 in favor of the Dukes. Graham stopped all 3 shots that came his way.
As mentioned, the Dukes honored their 9 sophomores who delivered their best season since 2019 and just their 2nd postseason appearance in over a decade.
